'au,' Retelling Rope, Weight, and Foil Boats

Good afternoon! Today the students and I practiced a new sound, ‘au’ in Phonics class. In Literacy, we made a ‘retelling rope’ and different groups of students’ retold parts of the story we read yesterday. In Math, we weighed different classroom objects to distinguish what was heavier or lighter. In Science, the kids made foil boats and counted how many coins it took to sink their ship!

For homework, please complete pages 139-140 in Week by Week Phonics and Chapter 12 page 3 in Math Workbook. Please always spend 10-15 minutes reading with your child as well.
