The 'al' Sound, A Valentine Story, and Hip Hop Around the Clock!

Good Afternoon everyone! Today the students and I learned about the ‘al’ sound. We spent our time in Literacy discussing story elements and finding them in a story called ‘The Day it Rained Hearts.’ You can listen to the story on our website at home if you’d like. In Math we played a game called Hip Hop Around the Clock!

For homework, please complete pages 126-128 in Week by Week Phonics. As always, please spend some time reading with your child.

The students are quite excited to reveal their secret Valentine on Friday! If for some reason you do not know your child’s secret Valentine, please email me and I can tell you. Remember: we need each card in our Valentine mail box by Friday. Please keep in mind that we will have a charity bake sale this week. K2B may bring in their goodies this Friday.
