Oi Words, Bean Sprouts, and Sunflowers

Happy Wednesday! Today the students practiced reading and spelling words with the ‘oi’ sound. In Science the students made a third observation of their bean sprouts. We’ve also officially planted our sunflowers on the playground so we are excited to see progress!

For homework, please complete page 119 and 120 in Week by Week Phonics. Also, please finish yesterday’s Math homework (Chapter 9 page 21) as the Math Workbook did not make it home yesterday. As always, spend some time reading to or with your child. Like I said before, the improvements I’ve noticed in the children’s reading skills as well as their general interest in reading are very impressive!

For those of you who are interested in participating in the sports day cheer, we will hold our first practice with parents tomorrow from 2:30pm-3:30pm in the dance room! The TAs will be available to watch your child during that time if you would like to join us! Lastly, we have decided to empty to change for change buckets as they were getting too heavy. We are not finished raising money yet! Please continue your contributions and let’s keep K2B in the lead!
