Long OO and Short OO, Nouns, and Estimation

Good afternoon parents! Today the kids and I went over the two sounds for ‘OO.’ We categorized words as long oo (moon) or short oo (foot) and practiced making the sounds. We also learned about common nouns. In Math class we wrapped up probability and began learning estimation. Please watch these cool videos about estimation. Lastly, we learned and discussed facts about farm animals in Social Studies.

For homework, please complete page 64 and 65 in Week by Week Phonics as well as chapter 3, pages 27, 28, and 29 in Math Workbook. Please also practice and review tricky words.
