A BUTTERFLY EMERGES, Tricky Words, Leveled Reading, and a Shape Search

Hello Parents! The students had a busy day once again! This week in Jolly Phonics, we are focusing on a tricky word review. We also spent some time in leveled reading groups. After that, the students went on a ‘shape hunt’ and made sketches of all of the shapes they could find on the playground. Last but not least, when the students were finishing up the day, Ms. Lady came into our classroom with an exciting announcment: OUR FIRST BUTTERFLY HAS APPEARED FROM THE COCOON! We went and saw her for a few seconds but will hopeflly spend more time observing the next one! Enjoy the photos that I posted above.

For homework tonight, please complete pages 51, 52, and 53 in Week by Week Phonics. Also, please review your child’s tricky words. As always, if you are able, please visit the website to review the Jolly Phonics sounds.
