Another Cocoon, Sentences, Rectangles, and Farm Animals

Happy Wednesday! Today when the students arrived to school there was another cocoon in the Discovery Center! The students and I made sure to check it out after snack time. During Jolly Phonics, we reviewed long vowels and we read sentences and chose the correct work to fill in the blank. During math we discussed the rectangle and continued building shape pizzas. For Science/Social Studies we began our unit on Farm Animals.

For homework tonight, please complete page 48, 49, and 50 in Week by Week Phonics as well as Math Workbook Chapter 5 page 7,8, and 9. If your child doesn’t yet have a yellow card please continue practicing tricky words. Check the video on some long vowel reading rules.
