Reading Phrases, Leveled Reading, and Shapes

It’s Monday again! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Today the students read some phrases during Jolly Phonics and illustrated pictures to match the phrases. Students are beginning to recognize their digraph sounds much more automatically! In Literacy we broke down into leveled reading groups and practiced varied reading strategies. We also introduced plane shapes in Math class.

For homework tonight, please complete page 20 in I’m a Writer and Chapter 5 page 1, 2, and 3 in Math Workbook. As always you are welcome to practice blending the words posted under “Learning to Blend” on the Jolly Phonics tab on the website. Also, please review your child’s tricky word card.
