Sound Review, More and Fewer, and The Rainbow Fish

photo 4 (9).jpg

Happy Friday! Today’s theme was a bit hard to follow but some of the students managed to pull it off! I will post pictures on the website later this afternoon. We had a busy Friday as usual and began the day reviewing our new sounds- oy, ow, ir, and ur. In Math we continued discussing and practicing the concept of more and fewer. In science we watched fish hatch from their eggs and completed our literacy based art project from the story “The Rainbow Fish.” You can watch the story the story here on this post. It has a very sweet and important message!

For homework, please complete Kindergarten 2 Workbook page 171. Also, feel free to practice blending the words on the website under the Jolly Phonics page “Learning to Blend.” I assessed the students on their tricky words today and I gave new cards to those students who do not yet have the yellow card. Those students who do have the yellow card will be assigned a new card as soon as quarterly reports are finished.

Please check K2B photos to see some pictures of the students making their Rainbow Fish as well as a few of our K2B 101 Dalmatians! Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

-Ms. Megan :)
